Project Overview
We were commissioned by a leading architecture firm in London to revitalise the entrance of a multi-occupancy office building known as The Old Street Workrooms. The brief was to enhance the building’s street presence and improve the first impressions for visitors and tenants alike – all while respecting the building’s existing aesthetic and materials.
Our Role
MTA Digital was responsible for the design, production, and installation of all new entrance signage and vinyl graphics. This included: a large glass acrylic panel with gold vinyl for the street number and name, vinyl branding and wayfinding panels for reception and parcel instructions, and a bold yet understated canopy roof vinyl reflecting the building’s identity.
Design Considerations
In line with the architecture firm’s vision, we used premium finishes that complemented the green façade and gold accents. Signage was designed to stand out while blending with materials like textured timber and glass blocks. Gold-finish standoff fixings matched the vinyl and lighting details, maintaining a clean look that let the green known as shine.
Challenges & Solutions
Roof vinyl installation required precise alignment due to its visible location and challenging angle. For the entrance, fixings were carefully chosen to protect the painted timber while ensuring a durable, professional finish.
Outcome
The transformation has dramatically improved the kerb appeal and visibility of the building. The updated signage offers both a modern and timeless look that aligns with the architecture firm’s design philosophy – elevating the overall experience for all who enter.
