Roller banners are a useful format for exhibitions, reception areas, retail promotions, training spaces and temporary information displays. They are quick to set up, easy to store and practical for teams moving between sites or events – but are also notoriously difficult to recycle due to their high PVC content. Not only is PVC challenging to recycle but it is also difficult to dispose of safely at end-of-use; it cannot be incinerated safely because of its toxic nature, and landfill disposal can allow harmful components to leach into the soil and surrounding water sources.
